Swanirvar (Self-reliant)
‘Swanirvar’ is a self-reliance project of As-Sunnah Foundation. The purpose of this project is to make unemployed and unskilled men and women self-reliant by providing financial assistance and necessary materials through technical training (separately) to enhance their skills.
In addition to acquiring skills through training, they are taught the basic tenets and rules of Islam through eminent Islamic scholars so that they can acquire basic knowledge of the religion and become ethical and faithful citizens along with it, can lead a life.
We think that just providing training, money and materials is not enough for many to become self-sufficient. To this end, we regularly supervise, research, and provide necessary advice to those trained, financially, and material-assisted group under the Foundation. In this way, we play a role in creating a skilled working class of the religious poor community.
The kind of support that the As-Sunnah Foundation provides:
Distribution of various trainings and materials for girls including block-batik, sewing, nakshikatha, handicrafts, homemade food, dead art, jewelry making, embroidery
Distribute training and equipment for boys including driving, laundry, tile mechanic, mason, electrician, AC / fridge mechanic, graphics designer, programmer, color mechanic, etc
Training and distribution of cattle, poultry and pigeon rearing among poor farmers
Distribution of various income generating products including rickshaws and vans
So far 2 thousand 77 men and women have been provided with income-generating tools under the self reliant project.
